Crushes come to me as a very vague and loosely used word.  I couldn’t remember if I used to crush or like my primary school classmate.  It was my first year attending my primary school classmates gathering back during j2.  Somehow I got attracted to this little girl.  She was a petite little girl. long haired.  We stayed connected via msn and phone.

It was quite a stupid thing.  First sight attraction.  Being interested,  I would ask her out.  Go library study. Go play pool.  Then after school and just before volleyball training, I would meet her at Pasir Ris library for a while talk talk.  Even going out for movies, she would compromise and watch the movie a 2nd time with me just cause there wasn’t anymore movies available and I wanted to watch that movie.  Darn, it was simply infatuation.  Just when the smses get more serious and I realise that she likes me.  I decided to stop everything.  It got too serious for me to handle.  Darn lucky it died out over the next few months.  It’s like I can’t seem to find a reason why I will crush on her then.  Now it’s just friends even though we still go out.  She even has a bf now.

7 months + to go before I ord!  We play we slack we do funny things.  It’s difficult to find people who would enjoy the kinda fun we adore since sometimes most of the time it means stretching, breaking of rules and not many people dare to do it.  The adrenaline rush, the messing up of minds and it questions ur sanity for doing such crazy things.  It’s how much of a sacrifice people would give up to enjoy their otherwise mundane 2 yrs of army.  I really appreciate the people who know there’s no meaning to such a mundane life.  Stagmont bunk mates rox.  And it’s just us from ex command schools that tend to do stupid things instead of the man.  I’d say we have the balls to lead and mess around! haha.

Friday I had somebody come up to me at dhoby gaut asking me to be a model. haha. AND I thought my friend was tapping me on the shoulder while i was walking.  I don’t like to entertain persistent people, so I just took the namecard, left my name and number then quickly siamed. since I was rushing to vivo.  Vivo in general has nothing interesting to offer for this GSS.  Zara jeans was one size too big for me.  The nice blue… argh.  Then i went over to Marina Square on Saturday for Zara again, buying a bluish grey jeans that has the sort of same fading as my blackish grey jeans.  But I have to say i love it.  I was gonna buy the black jeans that has a nice texture to it but buying two jeans will burst my budget.  Have to buy everything else then come back again.

Today while running I keep seeing killer litter from hdb flats.  First down was a can.  Second was a plastic cupboard cover.  Wham!  You never know who lives in these flats.  Crazy, inconsiderate people who squeezes in mrt most likely?  I’d never want to downgrade to a hdb.  U get sometimes crazy neighbours, blaring music, dirty ur laundry from the upper storeys.  DAM IT.  That said, the good seriously are outnumbered by the bad.

And my bunkmate is not coming back to camp this sunday night.  2 days mc.  Haha.  The first person i drove.  And it’s back to camp.  What a memorable event. -.-”

It’s sort of a miracle lol!!  Since I wasn’t even active in REACH activities, and I really wasn’t interested in involvement be in inside of school, or out of it, I had to become the REACH Rep.  Therefore, there was the need for the participation in some community involvement projects.

I was prompted by my friend’s interest in this Chingay parade.  I’ve got him to sign up for me since this is one opportunity to build up my CIP hours and break away from my usual routine of volleyball practice on Saturdays.  In the end, it turns out that I was the only meridian in my group, not to mention that particular friend of mine interest waned over time, since he’s the kind that doesn’t stand for routine stuff.  Soon, he got kicked out due to inactivity and lack of attendance.  The next meridian that i know of doesn’t even come close to my group.  They are all in other sectors.

The first time i attended was the ice breaker for the 2nd group of incomers, regarded as the ” JAE ” ice breaker bah.  DAM, imagine hating ice breaker back in J1, and now here.  It’s good when nobody knows each other, but it’s not when u have a group that knows each other and u are brought into it for the 1st time.

It’s generally better than jc’s icebreaker.  I noticed a few girls here and there though, makes the event still seem interesting. =).  Turns out I didn’t notice XM at all during the icebreaker.  PON THE ICEBREAKER IZZIT?  OR HIDE SOMEWHERE?

Then the next meeting was brought to the auditorium, where we had to pair up for one fundraising event.  I just picked the one beside me.  Oh ya, regarding the sandwich, I always last minute rush out, no time to eat. haha!  Regarding the fundraising event, I was trying to avoid it anyway.  So the partner thing really didn’t bothered me.  Just pick one, then pon it by coming up with an excuse! So the girl beside me turned out to my XM.

I’d no sooner forgotten the girl I know back in the auditorium, until she sent me a chain sms.  It came as a surprise – normally, i just ignore these kinda messages – so I followed up with a reply, and more replies.  And voila, I’ve gotten my xm. LOL. had no idea how it happened though.

How we start talking in real life also eludes me.  Details are sketchy.

Chingay just happened.  XM really kept me company during then, making it a much more enjoyable experience.  She has a very cute and cheerful presence.  A very bubbly personality.

During the Chingay procession, it would go on for hours and my XM will be around to talk to.  Long as it may seem, Chingay lasts for two days and it also marks the end of the time I spend with my xm.  Really, I expected that to be the end of things.

A common sight to many, people meet once, twice, talk here, talk there, seems like good friends, then when the event that draws them together is over, their friendship seems to end there, and they become hi-bye friends.

I didn’t see my xm for months on ends, conversing mainly on sms  or msn at times.  At the end of j2, people were preparing for enlistments, school was over, friends traveling overseas, then I wanted to pay my xm a visit.  She was working at Chinatown OG then,  and I was out and about, so I went over.  haha,… she looks gorgeous in her OL outfit.  Like xiao auntie le! (:

Then that Saturday so qiao met her at cineleisure also.  She was taking a neoprint with her family.

I saw her at her workplace once, and she saw me at mine once.  She came over to the national cancer centre to collect my JC notes during the last day of my work.  It’s more convenient for her to collect the notes from NCC, since that’s the main building that I work in, even if my current office was relocated from the third floor over to Health Promotion Board due to renovations.  I don’t know how to tell her the new location since I was lost the first time round when I shifted over to the new location.  And that place was pretty desolate.  So I offered NCC as the meeting place.  Then she waited for me to get off from work.  My xm picking me up from the last day of work.  So touching! ^^

Just before enlistment, I asked her whether she’s interested in going to NTU for the open house.  And surprise surprise, xm said yes.  XM looked so dazzling and so ravishing that day! ^^.  It’s not the event that makes people happy, it’s the person.  It’s a pity  she had to leave early.  But really happy that she could join me that day.

It was not until after enlistment that we met up again.

And there’s, the weekly encouraging sms, the ring, red cliff!! birthday card. Meeting up on the 1st of jan of 2009. The impromptu visit at SGH!

Elaborate next time bah.  I still have networking fundamentals to study.  Wanted to go Somerset today one.  But woke up late. sian.. have to book in early also.

It was love at first sight. To the girl seated along the aisle of the auditorium.
She was quiet and was staring far away into the front of the auditorium.
She emits an aura of elegance, calmness, that masks her modest age of 15.
It was incredulous to experience the charm of maturity coming from one of young age.
Nonetheless, she was seated there, right beside me.
But sadly, all that she could rmb was my sandwich!
I was HUNGRY!!
Then on the pretext of looking for a partner for the upcoming donation drive, I got her number and name.
Then ever since that day, I was preoccupied with thoughts of her. I regretted not gg to the donation drive. ( erm… Not really ).
But what saddens me is that she already has a bf. Harsh is the reality of life.
After that, I will keep banging my head on the wall for not knowing her earlier.
Hence the big head now! =) (muahahahah)
Then in a bid to keep her close to me, I adopted her as my younger sis. (did i?) =) can see but cannot get. Sobs.

lol at this post.  It’s a draft written on July 15, 2007.  What was I thinking?

As the ages pass, hellos come and will be accompanied by goodbyes in the future, near or far, but surely.  Time also brings about a sublimal change to people’s character, behaviour and attitude in the very least and moulds them accordingly to the subjective abuses of the environment and peers for better or worse.

I get caught up in the fleeting moment that I lose sight of myself at times.  I want to relive those times, experience those emotions once again.  Bask in the happiness that was once.

The simplicity of life is never to be.

The US financial crisis even hit my family hard.

There goes my apartment next year.

Sports day has just finished.  My classmates and I just want a quick ride back home on the MRT.  Then I met one of my secondary cum jc cum close friend while boarding the train at Pasir Ris.  Then we walk down the carriages looking for a empty one where we can just bawl all over the seats.  We walk and walk then my above mentioned close friend just waved ” Hi ” to her.  Whaha.  Turns out it’s her and her boyfriend.  This close friend of mine alrdy knows how we are related.  But he’s cool, didn’t say anything.  But unfortunately, my classmates wanted to sit OPPOSITE the two of them.  O well.  Sat Sat sat…  Didn’t look up to look at them.  One reason is caused i am Shagged… the other, cause i just don’t wanna see them.  Then I alight.  End of story!!

So there’s this journey around half of singapore looking for food.

First off, my family headed straight to Marina south to look for Zheng Fa Steamboat Buffet.  IT’S CLOSED/NOT THERE.  It’s a ghost town at that area. Nothing’s there.  No soul’s there.

Secondly,  we went to look for long beach @ Marina.  It’s not there either.

Thirdly, we went over to Kallang there looking for long beach too.  It’s torn down.

Lastly, stopped by No Signboard Seafood Restaurant by Geylang for some Seafood

On a totally unrelated note :  I have to go back to camp tmr (Sunday).  Kenna backstabbed by the ASA and the understudy.  I have worries that I might get posted out before I can get an off day cause I did a weekend duty.

I currently possess two off passes including the upcoming sunday duty.  So I should be able to get wed, thursday and friday off this coming week.  Wonder who wants to go out!? :X

The current batch of NCC (SEA) is screwed up.   My only active madam of the past is no longer in TK, leaving behind 4 ” behind the scenes ” madam.  Never around, never active, never available, never helping.

Followed by a walk back to my classroom.  My class. My sec 4 class.

I see the band, and i remember how active she was back then.  My trombone girl.  I still remember we went to watch Charlie and the chocolate factory on that exact day 3 yrs back.

Life was v. simple then.  When it’s about sec 4, it’s only about her.  We started off not knowing each other much.  Back during sec 3, it was just passing along of some papers, and some sentences here and there during english lectures in auditorium.  Followed by msn and then smses.

I didn’t know what attracted me to her.  She wasn’t the gorgeous type.  She was the cute, cheerful and charming girl.

Lots of stuff happened during sec 3.  Making more trips to Singapore Poly.  Attending more courses.  Wondering if she will join.  and also design course back in DnT Room where the attraction just seems to grow stronger.  Unfortunately, I just moved on to another girl..

So this and that happened..  Then I remembered her again during december holidays of sec 3, when I had to attend a NCC training.

Then the new yr begins.  I have many attractions towards the girls in my class. =).  It’s very easy to like them.  haha.  Then my class just hooked me up with her.

It’s mutual.  So we started off. 240305.

Before it started.  We just got opportunities to meet her.  When I come back from tuition, I will just take a stop further away from home and walk back a stop, passing by my school just to catch a glimpse of her amd chat up.  True enough, I got the chance to.

When we got together, it just seems so sweet at times.  But we also have got so many bitter times.

The sweets..  We would just spend one hour in class together before school starts at 7.30am.  She would always be in school at around 6.30-6.45.  So, i changed from just nice nice arrive in school.. to arrive earlier.  Only the two of us in the classroom, with the other classrooms vacant.  =).

Then our camps happened to fall on the same days.  In the morning after just waking up, I will take a walk around my bunk area.. and looking up, I saw her.  Then she came down to join me on the bench downstairs.  Hahha. so shweett…..

The sweets were really v. v. v. sweeettt….  For english prelim orals and chinese O lvl orals, being the last on the registry in my class.. It ended pretty late.  Seeing her wait for me.  until 6 plus, where there’s nobody else in the school left for us.  =x.  SO touchy touched =D

Oh shucks.  Time to prepare for book in. =x

I have an unseemingly huge amount of time to lie around.  Block off followed by block leave has given me 12 days off from my full time duties – NS.  Therein begins the slack fest!

It’s so tiring and mind blobbing to describe how I slack.  So I just leave it be.

I will just say – I’ve gotten a new aircon in my room.  It’s so cold, it’s deep freeze in there.  Making it all the more alluring for hibernation.  However, i’ve got no time for an excuse to buy a Desktop/Laptop, so i can only lament at that.  In addition, visiting the PC show has shown me how much i’ve lagged behind.  The prices of techies have dropped drastically, making most techies a good buy.  -  time ain’t on my side.!!!

However, I’ve gotten myself quite a number of good reads  – the most recent being ” the 7 habits of highly effective people “.  and a 2 yr weekly subscription of Times with 2 books, global warming and another book which is on mystic places on Earth.  “

Hah, I’ve always wanted to post pictures on my room.  Well, too much time on my hands i muz say. =X

I am getting the hang of swimming again! However, I am experiencing sunburn on my back again.  Jialat.

Aston food was 1st rate.  I had Rib-Eye Steak, Jolynda had the same thing, Jenson had some spaghetti and fish fillet.

The bill added up nicely too.  39+ for 3 person’s share.  Oh come on. I was stunned.  It’s cheap! It didn’t even hit $50.   Definitely cause of the waive of the 10% service charge.  Kudos to Aston Specialties.  I will not hesitate to visit this restaurant again.  There’s Aston Prime and Aston Specialties, definitely within walking distance from my house.

After that, we went to play pool.. blah blah blah.. ok … blah blah… ok.. blah blah..  And Jolynda was harassing me with her camera phone. Jeson was playing like a handicap.  Oh well, he did had a fractured arm which is on it’s path to recovery.  Cause of that though, his NS enlistment date is pushed back to July.  O the agony.

And we did that.. and we did that…  Then we went our separate ways.  I went to sleep.  Then I wake up.  Then I type this now.  Wanted to take pictures of my room while cleaning it up.  Need some memories before I go in.!   Can’t wait to have that recruit haircut.  Getting so hot now.  =/

I am getting O so hungry lately.  Getting interested in making a good salad, well it lasted, till it died down after two weeks.  It just takes too long to get the salad done! So tomorrow, I will shop around for ingredients to make a microwaved bread ” pizza “.  Umai!

My sec 4 class is gonna have a bbq this coming Saturday, and I am gonna exclude myself from it.  Why BBQ, I ask.  Why not a buffet?!  It spares you from the hard work, the ordering of food, u all get to sit down and eat together happily.  It’s only gonna cost 40~50++?  BBQ is silly, too many cooks spoil the broth, or rather here, too many idlying hands and too much work for some.  You don’t get to enjoy!

My JC class is smarter.  Pizza hut student meal, sakae sushi buffets.  restaurants sometimes.  It’s always Pizza hut with Sathya’s suggestion during the pre-prelim period though.

Oh, and I just found 50 dollars lying around in a red packet hidden inside a box.  Guess it was there cause I needed the red packet’s luck for A lvls.  Well, another 50 dollars to spend.  150 dollars to spend now.  and waiting for my pay.  DAM WHEN’S IT GONNA ARRIVE?  DON’T WAIT TILL JUST BEFORE I GO IN ARMY!!!!.
